Sinopsis: Gene mempunyai mimpi untuk mengemudikan kapal dan megelilingi bintang yang luas. Tapi dia hanya pekerja serabutan bersama rekannya yaitu James di planet kecil yang bernama Sentinel III. Suatu hari mereka menerima misi untuk mengawal gadis bernama Melfina, Gene dan James tidak tahu kalau itu adalah misi berbahaya yang bersangkutan dengan penjahat harta karun
Suatu ketika Gene dan krunya terjebak di kapal besar dan canggih bernama Outlaw Star dan saat itulah mereka mulai berpetualang menggunakan Outlaw Star.
